Wingbits x Dabba: Powering India’s Aviation Data Infrastructure
September 25, ‘25

The aviation market in India is growing faster than ever, creating both opportunities and challenges for flight tracking. With passenger traffic recently doubling and expected to continue rising over the next decade, accurate, real-time ADS-B data is more critical than ever.
Wingbits is ready to expand further into this fast-growing market, and we have found the perfect deployment partner: Dabba Network.
Why Dabba?
Dabba Network is reshaping how internet services are deployed, already connecting thousands of subscribers across Indian cities. With nearly 14,000 hotspots live, they’ve proven their ability to scale decentralized infrastructure at speed and with reliability. Their telecom towers, host network, and on-the-ground expertise make them the perfect partner for Wingbits’ next phase of growth. Having already rolled out 800 WeatherXM stations, Dabba has shown what it takes to expand real-world DePIN networks across India.
Why India? Why Now?
India’s aviation sector is one of the fastest-growing in the world. From bustling hubs like Mumbai and Chennai to regional airstrips in remote areas, the country handles roughly 120,000 domestic and international flights every month. With 487 airports either operational or planned, the demand for comprehensive, high-precision flight tracking is substantial.
Wingbits’ WB200 devices, combined with Dabba’s deployment network, allow us to capture critical air traffic insights while expanding our community-powered network. Devices are placed where they matter most, maintained by local operators, and rewarded through our WINGS token model, creating a sustainable feedback loop for contributors.
The Pilot: 10 Devices in India
We are beginning with a pilot program of 10 Wingbits receivers strategically deployed through Dabba’s network. Here’s how it works:
Community-Managed: Devices are installed and maintained by Dabba’s LCO network.
Reward Sharing: WINGS tokens and other incentives are distributed back to contributors.
Proven Deployment: The pilot builds on Dabba’s successful WeatherXM rollout.
This first phase allows us to optimize deployments and establish a foundation for broader coverage across India’s busiest aviation corridors.
Building a Scalable, Community-Powered Network
By combining Wingbits’ rewards-based flight tracking with Dabba’s Layer-0 infrastructure, we are demonstrating how DePIN projects can scale efficiently in high-growth markets. Strategic placements, local operations, and reliable maintenance workflows ensure that real-time flight data is accurate and continuously available.
This partnership represents a step forward not just for Wingbits in India, but for the broader ecosystem of community-powered infrastructure.
About Dabba Network
Dabba is building the Layer-0 of DePINs. It is the decentralized connectivity fabric that other projects plug into. For projects like Wingbits (and, WeatherXM), this means they don’t need to figure out last-mile deployments themselves. Instead, they leverage Dabba’s existing rails - local operators, deployment workflows, maintenance support, and our reward-sharing model.
When WeatherXM partnered with Dabba earlier this year, dozens of weather stations were deployed in India through our LCO network. These devices collect hyperlocal weather data, which has applications for farmers, insurers, and climate researchers. Wingbits is the next step in proving that Dabba can be the platform that enables any DePIN project to scale in India.
