For the past year, Wingbits has been steadily growing its global network of flight trackers who are helping us map the skies and make aviation more transparent, safe and efficient for everyone. During this initial stage, our dedicated community has been powering our beta network using their own DIY devices, which has helped us bootstrap the network and build critical momentum.

We are excited to announce that from today, pre-order sales will go live for the first Wingbits Approved device, engineered in partnership with GEODNET and HYFIX providing aviation enthusiasts, tech innovators and our friends in Web3 access to the latest breakthrough in DePIN-based flight tracking devices.

Through their trusted distributor partners, users can now pre-purchase the hardware — also known as nodes or stations — which will be delivered starting January 2025, helping to create the first and only flight tracking network that rewards its contributors in real-time.

Earlier this year, we announced our partnership with GEODNET, a collaboration that aims to transform the aviation industry through the first cryptographically-signed flight tracking data.

The custom HYFIX ADS-B hardware integrates Wingbits’ blockchain-based flight tracking platform with GEODNET’s decentralized GPS network, offering the aviation industry provable, centimeter-level precision data in real-time. Our users will make up the foundation of this global network, all while earning rewards.

Hardware is expected to be shipped in January 2025.
